The Wine Cellars Off-Licence at12 High Street, Lutterworth are now stocking Dow Bridge Ales on draught. These can be purchased in 'Carry Out' hoppers of 2 pints, Carry out jugs of 4 pints and 35 pint Polypins. You can contact them on Lutterworth 01455 552503. Available Thursdays - Saturdays.

The Knightley Arms at Yelvertoft is under new management and now has Acris as one of it's permanent

The White Swan at Shawell continues to serve a selection of our ales. Acris, Gladiator, Legion and Ratae'd are available here on rotation.

The Rugby Tap, St Matthews Street, Rugby, currently stocks a selection of our bottle and cask conditioned ale.


The Hinckley Beer Festival CAMRA Beer Festival

Our brewery team went on mass to check out the quality of beers on offer and enjoyed a well organised event.

Seen on the right are two of our senior team enjoying a glass of ale with the Hinckley Mayor Martin Cartwright who opened this years festival.

The Pig & Applestock Festival 2012

The Dow Bridge beers have recently featured at The Pig & Applestock Festival at Naseby Lake.

Shambala Festival 2012

Dow Bridge Beers once again featured at the annual Shambala Fesitval in Kelmarsh. Unfortunately demand exceeded capacity for beer this year which meant for a rather dry Sunday / Monday. Next year we will be ready!!

Dow Bridge and Sercombe's Butchers of Newbold, Rugby

The brewery has collaborated with Sercombe's Butchers to enable them to produce high quality pies and sausages using Dow Bridge beers. Test sampling was undertaken by the boys in the brewery (a dirty job but someone had to do it). All agreed the resulting combination was more than satisfactory.

The Great British Beer Festival 2011

The Dow Bridge Brewery team just prior to their departure to the Great British Beer Festival at Earls Court in early August.Dow Bridge's Praetorian Porter had been entered for the Champion Beer of Britain competition having won the Gold Medal at the Winter Ales Festival in Manchester in February.

Harpole Village Scarecrow Festival

10-11th September 2011

Dow Bridge Brewery have been invited to supply the 'Harpole Village Scarecrow Festival' in Northamptonshire with a special ale to celebrate their 14th annual festival. Dow Bridge beers will be on sale in our Beer Tent at the junction of Carrs Lane and High Street in Harpole on both Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th September. Our Scarecrow Ale will be available in bottles to take away, as a souvenir of the day and on draught alongside our ever popular Acris and Centurion ales.


4th Hinckley Beer Festival 15-17th September 2011

Dow Bridge Beers will be available at this forthcoming festival. Please note this years new address is the Atkins Building, Lower Bond Street. The award winning Praetorian Porter will be available alongside our Bonum Mild.

Rugby World Cup Beer

To celebrate the forthcoming festival of Rugby, we are once again intending to brew a celebratory ale. This will be 4.6% premium bitter entitled "Good Drop". This will be available from mid-september and for the duration of the World Cup.

Dow Bridge brewery was delighted to be invited to attend the award ceremony for Leicestershire CAMRA’s Country Pub of the Year award 2011. This has been won for the third consecutive year by The Chandlers Arms at Shearsby and is in recognition of Steve and Karen’s hard work promoting real ale. Dow Bridge brewery continues to regularly supply 'The Chandlers Arms' with a number of their real ales which remain firm favourites on the bar. Our seasonal ale ‘Summer Light’ was launched this year at The Chandlers Arms, to coincide with the award ceremony.


Summer Light

Our seasonal brew returns for the ninth consecutive summer, although it has been slightly increased in strength. This pale-golden beer now has an ABV of 3.7%, but still retains its refreshing quality through the use of Maris Otter pale malt and Golding’s hops.

This spring sees the beer being launched at The Chandlers Arms at Shearsby to celebrate the pub being awarded Leicester CAMRA’s
‘Country Pub of the Year 2011'. ‘Summer Light’ will also be available alongside other regular Dow Bridge beers at the Northampton Beer Festival at Delapre Abbey, and will continue to be available throughout the summer.

Praetorian Porter


Praetorian Porter, normally ourwinter seasonal ale, continues to be brewed due to unprecedented demand. Please contact the brewery for availability. 


Gilmorton Beer Festival

Dow Bridge Brewery has once again been appointed to supply this popular Leicestershire village event held over the Whitsun weekend. Aside our own beers, the brewery has also been tasked with sourcing ales from both national and microbreweries, along with ciders and perry. Proceeds go to aid the village sports facilities.

Braunston Boat Show

This historic narrowboat rally and festival will take place over June 24th – 26th. Dow Bridge beers will again feature in the beer tent.

Colin Valentine, Pete Sarson and Russell Webb with Award Certificates

The Dow Bridge Brewery has been awarded a Gold medal at the CAMRA National Winter Ales Festival in Manchester in February 2011.

The Praetorian Porter was awarded a Gold medal in the 'Porter' category and confirmed as a 'Champion Winter Beer of Britain' It also achieved a Bronze medal in the overall Championship winners category.

A trip to Winchester by the brewery team for the presentations at the excellent 'Black Boy' pub fortuitously coincided with the Winchester Beer Festival and called for some in-depth research into brews far and near!!
